The Yuckies

The Yuckies are 3 girls from Minneapolis, MN who live to rock n roll!

Beth "Beastie" Cullen plays the Drums, Jess "Balls" Wilton plays bass guitar and screams and Kelly "The Kid" Englund plays guitar, yells and “whoas”.

After forming in June of 2008, the band started playing locally and decided to start recording their material with Justin Malzahn at Matterhorn Studios in the Twin Cities. 

A few months later, on March 27th, 2009, The Yuckies self-released their debut, 11 track album: “Dirty Bird”.

Two days later, the girls got on a plane and flew out to Philadelphia for a short spring break tour, which included show dates in: Philly, Brooklyn and Manhattan. 

In the early summer of 2009, Kelly stepped up to the challenge of life-changing shoulder surgery, which halted the band’s immediate progress for a short time in order for her to fully recover.  After many prior attempts and surgeries to repair her shoulder, we had all hoped for this surgery to be the final success... and it was!                                                                                       Kelly is now back playing the guitar and feeling better than ever!

Lately, The Yuckies have been working on new material and are planning a month long tour for December of 2009.
